FROM THE MEMBERSHIP CHAIR
Welcome to the Website for Red River Havanese Club!
We in the membership committee want to encourage those with a passion for our Havanese to come visit us at an event, or attend one of our meetings.
We represent the North Texas/Oklahoma area, right along the ‘Red River’, and would encourage anyone, even those not close to us, to ‘come on by’!
Our club is a sanctioned local club of the Havanese Club of America, and we fully support the HCA and the Standard set with the AKC.
Our dedication to bettering our breed through education, pursuing excellence in sharing and learning and passing this knowledge to others, is only part of our Mission at RRHC. Our love of our Breed and the sheer joy of being part of this wonderful goal, is only part of who and what we are.

Membership requirements
RED RIVER HAVANESE CLUB MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
(Effective September 15, 2007)1. Must attend 2 (two) meetings prior to applying.
2. Must have 2 (two) non-related sponsors.
3. Must agree to abide by the rules of AKC, HCA and accept the HCA standard.In addition, if applying for an Individual or Family voting membership:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Must own a Havanese.DEFINITION OF TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
1. Family ($20) – Voting, maximum 2 members per household, at least 18 years of age
Must attend at least one meeting per year or will become an Associate member.
(Board will consider exceptions on a case by case basis)
2. Individual ($15) – Voting.
Must attend at least one meeting per year or will become an Associate member.
(Board will consider exceptions on a case by case basis)
3. Associate ($10) – Non voting
Desires a Havanese, in pursuit of ownership, not required to own a Havanese.
Member receives newsletters and may participate in all club activities.
4. Junior ($5) – Non voting – 9 to 17 years of ageSPONSORS
1. Must know member applying for at least 1 (one) year.
2. Must have visited home.
3. May sponsor only 1 (one) person/family per year.
4. May not be related to applicant.
5. Must be a voting member with full privileges.
6. Must be a member at least 1 (one) year prior to becoming a sponsor.
